We’ve gone through a number of changes in the last few weeks! A name change, new missions, new visions, and a new logo on the horizon. We’ve got more coming as well; events and exhibits are on the horizon!

Something else that some folks probably noted is the inclusion of the Pittsburgh Equality Center on our pages. We’ve been very honored and excited as we were invite to work closely with the Pittsburgh Equality Center in a few ways.

They have an extensive collection of artifacts that need processed and preserved so they will be accessible to the public. Additionally, a long list of oral histories are now on our docket!

Alongside that work, The Pittsburgh Equality Center is now our fiscal sponsor! In simple terms, that means we are able to acquire grants, and function under their non-profit statues to a certain extent. We will continue to function as an independent organization and serve the community as a historical institution, the work we’re doing for them is part of those services! However, they will help us gain the funds needed to do that work and make bigger and better exhibits.

We’re very excited to be working with The Pittsburgh Equality Center! Their aid is crucial at this stage in our organization. As we do not have our own non-profit status yet, the Pittsburgh Equality Center will provide us the support and funding capabilities we need to keep trucking along.

Again, we are not a part of the Equality Center. We are an independent organization that they will mentor and aid. We are open to help anyone who asks for it and in whatever way suits their needs the best.

Now, we are looking forward to the future!
