What We Do!

As trained public historians we are experienced in a variety of preservation and exhibition methods...

            While we are an organization dedicated to community archives, we are also dedicated to sharing that information with the wider community. So, we will have many different exhibits available for the community to see.

            If you wish to get our help, we have many ways for you to protect your stories or share them. We can discuss how you wish for your history to be saved, if/when you wish to gift your archive, with us or other institutions.

            We wish to preserve Pittsburgh’s LGBT+ history however suits the community the best!

What We Offer

There are many forms of archiving and history making. There are many kinds of historical preservation that we can help with!

WE COLLECT:

Audio files, oral histories, video, photos, flyers, social media posts, documents, letters, music, small pieces of technology (dependent on condition), small objects (such as pins, buttons, cards, pens, and other objects of this size), AND MORE TO COME.

Audio, oral histories, video, photos, flyers, social media posts, documents, letters, music, small pieces of technology (dependent on condition), small objects (such as pins, buttons, cards, pens, and other objects of this size), large objects (furniture, art, and other sizable objects), textiles, AND MORE TO COME.

WE DIGITIZE:

Audio (limited by available proper equipment), oral histories, video (through other resources), photos, flyers, social media posts, documents, letters, music, AND MORE TO COME.

WE CREATE:

Podcasts, blog posts, zines, chapbooks, videos, flyers, exhibits (digital and physical), AND MORE TO COME.
