We’ve been working away at getting a digital map up on the website. Getting something in the style we want but also do so affordably has been a bit of a struggle, but in the meantime, we’ve been working on multiple self-guided walking tours. Right now, we have one, which you can download on the website.
"The Path They Took" is only a fraction of the locations we discovered, but it follows the path gaggles of gays would take to bar hop downtown. As June rapidly approaches and Pride events start stacking up, The Holiday Pride has a special offer!
For one day only (unless we get more folks interested than we think), we will host an in-person, guided walking tour of "The Path They Took"!

On June 13th, 2026 between 10AM and 11AM, we will take about 20 people along this same path from the height of Pittsburgh’s gay nightlife scene. Our guide will tell of stories, dramatic histories, and first hand accounts about these locations.
Whether you’ve only ever heard about these bars along the grape vine or if you want to relive a bit of nostalgia, this tour will take you down memory lane, even if some of the buildings no longer stand.
Zines about the bars and their owners will be available at the end of the tour and donations are very welcome, but this tour is free to all who wish to attend.
Follow us on Instagram to keep up-to-date on the tour and what we’ll be doing this June.
If you’d like to join us, follow the directions on this flyer and share with your friends!
